The Healys are a picture-perfect family — but looks can be deceiving. When the cracks beneath the surface begin to show, they must choose between maintaining the status quo or facing harsh truths about themselves, their community, and the world around them. Featuring Morissette’s iconic songs including “Ironic,” “You Oughta Know,” and “Hand In My Pocket,” plus brand-new songs written for the show, Jagged Little Pill comes to the stage with music supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), and choreography by Olivier Award winner and frequent Beyonce collaborator Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

Love the acting and the music. Loud sections were too loud - sound was too much and distorted. Better second act. Loved the story-line, message and lighting! Voices were really good!

Take a seatbelt because you ARE going to need it ! Lauren Patten singing "You outta know" in the second half is as terrific a performance as anything you will ever see "Live" on any stage any where at any time - Electrifying, energetic, powerful and simply PERFECT. One of those rare occasions where it takes the original artist's rendition to an entirely different level. Lauren also does a solid "Hand in my pocket" in the first half which gets your attention that you may be witnessing something special here. Very strong performances all around including the dancing - good story line as well. Make sure Lauren Patten is performing when you buy your ticket, and switch it if she isn't.

We decided to go on an impromptu weekday girls’ day. Tickets were secured through Headout. It could not have been more easy or convenient. Additionally, we got a great price for one of the hottest Broadway tickets.

Disclaimer: I’m a huge Alanis fan. We got tickets for this show the moment it was announced and booked the trip to NYC. Without knowing what it was about. We loved it so much, we saw it two nights in a row. (Took our chances in the cancellation line the 2nd night) This is this generation’s “Rent”. Topics were timely. We felt great after leaving the theater. Everyone in the cast was awesome and some said hi to fans after the show. The songs in the album of the same name were in the musical and there was an actual story, not just as a jukebox/singalong. Would definitely recommend this. (I’d probably watch it over and over again if I lived in NYC)

This is the second time I've used Headout and they really work GREAT. They're super easy to spot on when you get to the theatre. They usually stand right outside of the theater with their yellow jacket and a nice smile. And they have great last minute deals on broadway tickets. Highly recommended even to the locals.

Went in with no expectations, came out amazed. Great staging, singing, dancing and a soul searching story. Opens all the emotions.

Seeing this show in previews was an amazing, all encompassing and overwhelming experience. The music, singing, acting and dancing are all superb, 5 stars! Especially for a true Alanis Morissette fan. The story itself is slightly a notch below - maybe it just tries to tackle too much? But, there are incredibly funny one-liners that save the day, plus a surprisingly poignant storyline between the mother and father that brought a tear to my eye. The Broadhurst Theater was an absolute mosh pit at intermission, though. Really uncivilized and unpleasant! Glad that I used the bathroom before the show so I could go back to the safety of my seat. But, the show itself should be a winner!

I was wondering how Alanis Morissette’s album would translate into a broadway play but can’t express how much I enjoyed Jagged little Pill and was looking forward to each oncoming act. First of all I love Morissette’s music and her passionate performances. Well this passion gets transferred onto the stage but the storey line line and message get’s you more involved with every turn. Highly recommend this play. The performance is riveting and you walk away looking at things differently in a positive way.

I was expecting the album's intent of 1995. The play was very politically driven, touching on porn addiction, drug addiction, sexual orientation, date rape and diversity. It was interesting seeing how the words written towards an angry relationship fit perfectly into topics of today. I must note that when "You Oughta Know" was preformed, you couldn't hear the audience, but one could feel the energy and almost hear the crowd screaming the words in their head. It was a spine tingling moment. Go see it, but leave the angry divorcee at home ;-) Also, there were house special drinks, 2 for $68 and change. Isn't it Ironic?

My friend and I got tickets several months in advance not knowing much about this play/musical. When the show began we were not sure we had made a good choice, not being familiar with the music of Alanis Morissette or the storyline. It appeared most of the audience was very familiar. The storyline was excellent, complexities of family and friends, bad and times and so much more. The music was wonderful! The cast was GREAT. I highly recommend this show. I don't think you will be disappointed.
